Designer. Grafter. Studio Builder. Cheese Appreciator. I’m from Bedwas. Just outside Caerphilly. Famous for rugby and cheese.

Rugby, I liked. Cheese, let’s just say I’ve grown into it.

At school, I was a bit cheeky. Not wildly academic. I got away with more than I should have. There’s a porcelain ornament at my mum’s house still stained yellow from a superglue rescue job. She hasn’t clocked it. Yet.

I wasn’t the creative type, not back then. But I liked making things. Always have. It was Mr Cook, my CDT teacher, who opened the door. Then I guess we’ve got Julian to thank. I just loved the smell of a magic marker. Remember, this was in the last millennium!

I had a decade of being told what to do. Politely ignored most of it. Turned down a good job and then turned the house into a workshop. Literally. Cleared out the living room and moved the studio in. Not great for the relationship. But it worked for the work.

Now it’s five of us. A small, solid team. I’m still hands-on, just not chained to SolidWorks. These days, it’s more about the people. The process. The shared sense of making something that matters.

I’ve never seen myself as a creative genius. I believe talent follows effort. I also believe that it shouldn't be about ego, more so building something real and doing it with people you trust.
