Launch is a maverick exhibition of contemporary design held annually in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Over three years the event positioned itself as one of the North East's leading three dimensional design showcases and the last event was no exception as it returned to the de-commissioned fire station in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne's city centre. 2500 people came through the doors of the exhibition which was set up by Deadgood Directors' Dan & Elliot.
Visitors to launch saw the latest offerings from a selection of the regions leading designers including exclusive new product launches from Deadgood and a live recycling factory by Cohda
Launch also showcased work from a number of regional and nationally recognised design initiatives including Northumbria University’s ‘Designer in Residence’ programme and an interactive illustration exhibition from our friends in London entitled ‘If you could…’ The show also featured an eclectic mix of produce and furniture all of which was available to buy or commission.
In the words of one avid fan...
What can I say? Launch is beautiful – if you could bottle it, you’d take it home! It isn’t just an exhibition, it’s an experience, so stroll along and taste this contemporary, colourful and energetic exhibition for yourself.
Our sentiments exactly!
