UK Young Design Entrepreneur 2009

Five finalists have been shortlisted for the UK Young Design Entrepreneur 2009 award run by the British Council and Dan Ziglam, one of our very own Directors is one of them.

Supported by 100% design, Design Week and the Design Business Association, the award celebrates creative entrepreneurs and the impact they have in developing a sustainable and competitive creative economy.

Andrew Senior, Head of the Creative Economy Unit at the British Council, commented We have an excellent shortlist of finalists, with strong and successful businesses, all of whom are looking to take that next step in moving their business forward.

The shortlisted finalists are now on a tour of the Turkish design scene, where they will meet leading industry figures and find out more about the sector's structure. Following a second round of judging later this year, the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in February 2010.
